Question:
How many trays do we need to buy to get our program started?
Answer:

The minimum number of trays would, of course, be twice the number of meals served each day. However, 2.2 to 2.4 times the number of meals served each day is more practical. This allows the flexibility of serving additional meals when necessary as well as adding extra people to your routes.

Question:
How much can we save by using E-Z Trays instead of throw away trays?
Answer:

Click here to view a cost comparison work sheet to help you calculate your expected savings.

It usually costs about half as much to use E-Z Trays instead of disposable trays over a one year period of time. This cost comparison includes the purchase of the E-Z Trays (two for every meal served each day, so a full tray can be exchanged for the empty tray from the previous day), and dishwashing costs.

Obviously these savings will be greatly enhanced in subsequent year as E-Z Trays typically last several years.

Question:
Are there temperature limitations for E-Z Trays?
Answer:

The short answer is yes, however E-Z Trays are available made from a high temperature thermal plastic “Dual Ovenable” type that can be used in a conventional oven at temperatures up to 400º F. This allows the recipient to reheat their meal in their oven in the delivered tray if they desire.

E-Z Trays are also available in a “Microwave Only” version which can be used in a microwave oven to reheat a meal, but not a conventional oven. These “Microwave Only” trays are significantly less expensive to purchase than the “Dual Ovenable” type.

Question:
We deliver a cold salad and dessert along with the hot entrees each day to our clients. How do you do this with reusable trays?
Answer:

Many users of E-Z Trays provide this level of service to their clients. What they have found works best is to provide two trays; one “Dual Ovenable” tray with the hot entree and one of the less expensive “microwave only” trays with the food served cold.

The trays nest together when empty and stack neatly on top of one another when full and covered for easy transport.

Question:
How do I tell the “Dual Ovenable” trays from the “Microwave Only” trays?
Answer:

E-Z Trays are color coded; “Dual Ovenable” trays are almond colored and “Microwave Only” trays are bright white. Tray covers are also embossed “MICROWAVE OVEN ONLY” and “MICROWAVE OR OVEN USE” to further differentiate the two types.

Question:
We have no funds left in our capitol budget to purchase reusable trays. Do you offer any flexible payment programs?
Answer:

Yes. Task Tray Products offers a “lease to own” program where the cost of the trays is billed monthly over a six month period of time so the cost of the trays roughly equals what would otherwise be spent on disposable trays and can be paid out of the expense budget.

Question:
Are there different tray configurations available?
Answer:

Yes. Trays are available in either two or three compartment models.
